The management of creation, protection and commercialisation of IP in the NAS of Ukraine is carried out by the:

  research institutions of the NAS of Ukraine;
• ❯
  Commission on protection and use of Intellectual Property under the Presidium of the NAS of Ukraine;
• ❯
  infrastructure organizations of the NAS of Ukraine for the protection of intellectual property, technology transfer and innovation

There are departments on technology transfer, innovation and intellectual property in 92 research institutions of the Academy. 
In 2008 the Presidium of NAS of Ukraine adopted a set of documents that defines Academy policy in the field of intellectual property: approved by the order of 16.01.08 № 15 (as amended), as well as by others acts. 
The Policy reflects the recommendations of the WIPO, European Commission documents, experience in developing intellectual property policy of leading research institutions and universities in Europe and the US, as well as the experience of inventorship departments of research institutions of the NAS of Ukraine. 
Center for Intellectual Property Studies and Technology Transfer of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine:  

• ❯
  supports of implementation of measures for IP protection and technology transfer in the research institutions of the Academy;
• ❯
  participates in the preparation of draft laws, bylaws and NAS of Ukraine regulations in IP sphere;
• ❯
  provides consultations and services.
